According to a senior representative from Reform UK, party leader Nigel Farage would utilize all state capabilities, including armed forces and financial measures, to defeat Argentina if a dispute over the Falkland Islands arose. Speaking on Saturday, finance spokesperson Robert Jenrick asserted that a Farage-led government would forcefully defend the South Atlantic territory. The United Kingdom preserved its authority over the archipelago, referred to as the Malvinas by Argentina, after a 74-day military conflict in 1982. Furthermore, an overwhelming majority of residents voted to retain British sovereignty during a 2013 referendum. The remarks follow recent indications by US President Donald Trump that Washington could re-evaluate its stance regarding the United Kingdom’s claim to the islands.
