Many cat owners are discovering that their pets' prolonged absences are not due to natural wandering, but rather because neighbours are actively enticing them. In one instance in a London suburb, a cat owner named Amy noticed her former street cat, Sid, was disappearing for days at a time. After attaching a GPS tracker to his collar, she discovered that the animal was spending consecutive afternoons and nights inside a nearby resident's home. This phenomenon of neighbours hosting and feeding other people's pets is causing frustration and anger among owners who find their companions being lured away.
